Hi, I’m Ana.
I'm a teacher trainer, coach, and an English teacher who refuses to accept the overwhelming life this profession landed me in.
I created Art of ELT to bring clarity, encouragement, and real support to language teachers who are tired of doing it all — and still feeling like it’s not enough.
Because I’ve been there. I’ve worked in over 10 countries, across public schools and private institutions, taught every level from exam prep to business English to creative writing. I’ve designed courses, marked assessments, trained teachers, and led teams. And like you, I’ve wondered how long I could keep going without breaking.
So I started asking different questions:
~ What would it look like to teach in a way that supports *me*, too?
~ What if wellbeing wasn’t separate from good pedagogy — but at the heart of it?
~ What if I could help other teachers build the kind of teaching life that doesn’t require self-sacrifice?
Now, through my group programs, workshops, and writing, I help language teachers reconnect with their values, set boundaries with love, and find a more sustainable, joyful way to teach.
Because burnout isn’t the price of passion.
You get to do this work in a way that honors who you are.
A few things about me, just for fun:
🌿 When I’m not coaching, I write novels (urban fantasy, YEAH!), crochet, and box. (I do other stuff too, of course, but these are important enough to populate my private social media accounts.)
💬 I exist as a person whose body doesn’t work the way most people’s do (aka I live with a chronic health condition) and am always up for a good ‘doctors are mostly idiots’ rant, if anyone cares to…?
🌎 My top two values are Curiosity and Love of Learning (which. I should say - were also Pandora’s (of the ‘Pandora’s box’ myth. You know, honestly, that myth is such an example of how men changed the narrative to make themselves look better! In the original Greek texts, “Pandora” was actually usually a generic stupid man. I’m not kidding 😀)).
